OsoCozy Cloth Diaper Prefolds - 100% Indian Cotton Prefolds - Bleached White

Prefold wiggle

OsoCozy bleached prefolds are twill weave cloth diapers (Also called gauze). They start out incredibly soft and absorbent, and they become even softer with washing. Wash these cloth diapers a few times in hot water, and they fluff up beautifully! As with all cloth prefolds these will shrink 5-10%.

How many layers? The 3-part number (4x6x4) refers to the number of fabric layers in each of the three panels of the prefold, with the middle panel being the thickest. Most home users prefer the heavier 4x8x4 prefolds because of the added absorbency. Most diaper services use 4x6x4 prefolds to cut down on energy and time needed for drying, and they supply enough diapers for frequent diaper changes. If you're going to air dry, go with the 4x6x4s. For home cleaning rags, auto detailing, and diaper burp cloths, we recommend the Infant 4x6x4 and the Regular 4x6x4. Preemie prefolds are really best only if you're expecting low birth weight babies. Newborns are great for the first 2-6 weeks after birth; however, the size can be skipped, and you can start with the Infant size.  Picture below shows the newborn size of an 8.5 lb baby.

OsoCozy Prefolds are 100% Cotton - Unlike prefolds from more recognized national children's clothing brands which use a synthetic polyester filling between just two layers of cotton. Our diapers are a better value as they are thicker and more absorbent. Additionally, there is often an ammonia odor buildup in synthetics which you won't get in cotton diapers.

Two Basic Sizes - We offer eight sizes in the bleached prefolds but most families need just two sizes.  Those two sizes are the Infant 4x8x4 for 7-15 lbs and the Premium 4x8x4 for 15-30 lbs.  Don't be fooled by "One-Size" prefolds which will be bulky on newborns and have insufficient absorbency on larger babies.

More than a year and still going strong!

My wife and I have been using these for our daughter for over a year. Since then, NONE of these prefolds has disintegrated or lost their quality. We have another baby on the way and it's nice to know I don't have to shell out MORE money on prefolds: we'll just re-use these :) Awesome product. Very satisfied.

Quality

Bought these inserts in infant size with the blue borders, and they still fit my 5 month old just fine. We use them with Alvababy and Nora's Nursery diapers we use inserts and trifolds. She weighed 9 pounds at birth and could have used them then too just with a little fold in the front or back because of the length, and we still do that even though she has grown quite a bit. I am sure we will be using them for a long time. I washed them about 5-6 times to prep them before use and they become more absorbent with time. They do shrink from when you first receive them but for us that size is working just fine.

Still using these!

I have had these cloth prefolds for over a year now. I would say they get washed at least once a week and sometimes twice. What I love about these is the thinness and the size. When my daughter was a newborn, I would actually pin them on and they worked wonderfully well and were not too bulky. As she grew I began to just lay them into a diaper cover. Even though these are a bit thinner than another brand I own, they have never leaked. Even now when she is a toddler (14 months) I still use these. I actually believe these soak up urine much better than some of my microfiber inserts.

Mine have been washed (many times with bleach - I know gasp!!!) and dried in a dryer. I do not line dry my inserts, only the covers. What is amazing is they still look as good as they did when I purchased them. I have one or two with a stain, but when it gets a bit warmer I will place it out in the sunlight and that should take care of it.

I would purchase these again if I ever needed more diaper inserts. Yes, they are thinner, but they are perfect for newborns and I am still using them with my toddler.
