- Description
OsoCozy Unbleached Prefold Cloth Diapers are 100% cotton in a twill/gauze weave. They start out incredibly soft and absorbent, and they become even softer with washing. Wash these cloth diapers a couple times, and they fluff up beautifully! As with all cloth prefolds these will shrink 5-10%.
- How many layers? The 3-part number (4x6x4) refers to the number of fabric layers in each of the three panels of the prefold, with the middle panel being the thickest. Most home users prefer the heavier 4x8x4 prefolds because of the added absorbency. Most diaper services use 4x6x4 prefolds to cut down energy and time needed for drying, and they supply enough diapers for frequent diaper changes. If you are washing at home, start with 4x8x4 then size down if you find those too bulky for your baby.
- OsoCozy Prefolds are 100% Cotton Unlike prefolds from more recognized national children's clothing brands which use a synthetic polyester filling between just two layers of cotton. Our diapers are a better value as they are thicker and more absorbent. Additionally, there is often an ammonia odor buildup in synthetics which you won't get in cotton diapers.
- Two Basic Sizes - We offer six sizes in the unbleached prefolds but most families just need two sizes. Those two sizes are the Infant 4x8x4 for 7-15 lbs and the Premium 4x8x4 for 15-30 lbs. Don't be fooled by "One-Size" prefolds which will be bulky on newborns and have insufficient absorbency on larger babies.

- Bleached vs unbleached prefolds? Our customers generally prefer unbleached to bleached prefolds. Unbleached diapers are softer and more durable than bleached cloth diapers and hide stains better as well.
- Prep diapers before using. Unbleached prefold cloth diapers must be washed and dried on hot at least 2-3 times after you receive them before they become absorbent. Test absorbency by making a pocket or bowl of the diaper and slowly pouring in 1/2 cup of water. If the water pools rather than soaking in quickly, keep washing. DO NOT use fabric softener, which would coat the fibers and cause repelling. Despite the added effort necessary to break in these diapers, they are extremely popular and by most accounts well worth it.

Osocozy Indian Cotton Prefold Cloth Diapers Unbleached Natural (dozen)
These are thick and soft! I absolutely love these! I’m not using them as diapers. I’m a licensed Esthetician. I use these for my facials! Exactly what I was looking for! Will buy again!
I use these as spit rags for my son who vomits (yes, not spit up, vomit) a lot because of reflux and food allergies. They absorb sooo much, and I love that the unbleached ones still look nice because they hide any spit up and vomit stains! The bigger (toddler) size gives a great surface area for a spit rag.
I love that these are off white because they look good with antique clothing on my dolls. Made nice and thick.
Before buying these I had alot of microfiber inserts which were prone to compression leaks. However since adding these to my son's cloth diapers I no longer have that issue. I like that these trifolds are made of cotton which makes them easy to clean and they dry quickly. I bought the size 2 so one trifold is just enough for my 12 month old. They also fit well into his pocket diapers.
Compared to the Gerber infant preforms, these wear out a lot faster. Barely got the grand kid out of them. They were fraying.
